Last Will & Testament:

A licensed Will writer since 1991, James Caviel has created 100's of Last Wills & Testaments for his clients and their immediate family over the last 30 years.

His recent acceptance for membership to the Society of Will Writers is further evidence of his knowledge and professionalism in this area.

This experience and knowledge helps ensure your Last Will & Testament dovetails with existing financial planning advice and solutions to maximise the benefits.

By being a member of the Society of Will Writers, a self governing body, James has to adhere to the societies Code Of Practice and has agreed to be overseen by the Society’s Professional Standards Board.

Family Controlled Trust Frameworks:

Since the late 1990's James Caviel has recognised the need to ensure additional documentation needs to be implemented. There are significant benefits to be had from such foresight as the framework can help retain wealth within the family bloodline, potentially reduce the impact of inheritance tax for you and future generations.

Other benefits of such arrangements can be the ability to protect wealth from unreliable or estranged family members as well as creditors or other potential threats.

No family scenario is the same and we have built up a wealth of experience in helping clients put the most effective and efficient structures in place to protect their wealth so it can trickle down the generations.

Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA):

Recognised by the Office of The Public Guardian as a certificate provider.

We can explain and advise you on the LPA's you will need to ensure that in the future you can help manage the affairs of the donor (typically a family member or trusted friend) when they are unable to do so themselves.

The explanation and instructions can all be done in the comfort of your home, office or increasingly via Video Conferencing facilities.

We will take instructions from you and then complete, file and register the Lasting Power of Attorney for you and / or your relatives.

We will check the documents before submission and once sealed and returned by the Office of the Public Guardian will then register the LPA with the relevant parties required to make the document effective.

Probate:

Having been an Independent Financial Adviser for over 30 years, inevitably a number of our clients have passed away.

Having previously written their Will and or Trust Framework, we can also handle the process of winding up the Estate.

The first step in this process is applying for Grant of Probate or where no Last Will & Testament was left, i.e. the deceased died “intestate” you will need to apply for Letters Of Administration.

This process is an administrative process that requires the Executors of the deceased Estate to complete a variety of HMRC & HMCTS applications.

As we have experience in handling this process for Executors we can deal with the entire process from the registration of the death with the deceased various providers, through to the final distribution of the Estate and provision of Estate Accounts.

At a time when you may be dealing with a variety of emotions; knowing our team is there to support you and manage the Estate winding up process taking away as much stress from you as possible can be of huge importance.
